Since the early 1990s, Mike Flugennock has produced over a hundred political cartoon posters that have been the favorite of resistance movements ranging from those opposing war in Iraq, to globalization and many other domestic causes, and has illustrated the covers of The Progressive (October 2002) and Alternative Press Review (Summer 2001). He has also been featured in The Washington Post (September 2002), on STV Public TV, Stockholm (October 2002), and in Süddeutsche Zeitung, Munich (April 2003) for his art promoting mass protests. He has attracted a loyal following of people who "flypaste" his art in scores of cities throughout the USA and Canada. Through free access to his inspired creations at this website, people have quickly come to recognize his art by its distinctive style. |
